Chief Standing Bear Author to Lead Tuesday Book Discussion

NORFOLK - The life a great native American chief will be the topic of discussion Tuesday at the Norfolk Public Library.  Author Joe Starita will lead a discussion of his book “I am a Man: Chief Standing Bear’s Journey for Justice.  Starita is a professor of journalism at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  Norfolk Library Director   Chamberlain says he’s written a number of books, mostly on historical topics.  Chamberlain says there’s plenty of time to read some or all of the book, and that the library has copies available.  The book discussion is slated for the Norfolk Public Library, Tuesday evening at 6:30.  It’s the final of five book discussions and movie screenings prior to the Humanities Nebraska Chautauqua, which is set to run June 18th through the 22nd in Norfolk.
