Big, Bang, Boom Set for Saturday

NORFOLK - Fireworks over Skyview have been an early July Norfolk tradition for almost 40 years, and Saturday night’s Big, Bang, Boom spectacular promises to be better than ever.  Big, Bang, Boom Committee President Don Wisnieski says the show has been spread out and increased from five to seven effects locations.  He says the best place to view everything is on the north side of Skyview Lake.  Vendors and an inflatable midway highlight the daylight hours Saturday.  The show starts at 10 p.m.  Patriotic music will accompany the show and you can hear it on Lite Rock 97.5 and 106 Kix beginning at 9:45.  Approximately 30,000 people are expected to view the show.  It's free, but committee members will take donations after the show.  Wisnieski says just a dollar or two from everyone will help to keep Big, Bang, Boom a Norfolk tradition for years to come.  For more information, check the website BigBangBoom.org.
