Be Sure to Properly Heat Thanksgiving Leftovers

UNDATED - Some people look forward to the turkey sandwich on Friday as much as the Thanksgiving meal on Thursday.  University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources food specialist Julie Albrecht says food storage is just as important as preparation… so keep safety in mind when dealing with leftovers. Albrecht says perishable foods should only be left out of the refrigerator for a maximum of two hours.  She says when reheating, foods should reach a temperature of 165-degrees and all liquids should be brought to a boil.
