Arrest Made in Downtown Norfolk Burglary

NORFOLK - A 25-year-old Norfolk man has been arrested in connection with an October theft from a downtown business. Police Captain Michael Bauer says Matthew Swoboda was incarcerated in the Madison County Jail when the arrest warrant was served May 9th, and he remains in custody.
Bauer reports that three guitars and carrying bags valued at approximately $3,500 were stolen from Midwest Music at 311 West Norfolk Avenue on October 10th of last year. Last month, a State Patrol investigator recovered one of the stolen guitars and provided information to the Norfolk Police Division. The two remaining guitars were recovered in Albion on April 23rd, and this week, Swoboda was arrested for burglary. He remains in custody.
