Area Plane Crash Victims Identified

NORFOLK (AP)- A spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration says a small plane crashed at approximately 8:00 PM Saturday night. The small aircraft had just departed the Norfolk Airport on a return flight to Millard Airport near Omaha.  The Madison County Sherriff's Office released the names of the two killed in the crash: 26 year old Dale Butler, the plane's pilot, of Omaha and his passenger, 23-year-old Amy Brobst of Fort Collins, Colorado. The crash was reported Saturday evening south of 557th Ave. and Sherwood Road.  The plane came to rest in a soybean field along a grove of trees two east of U.S. Highway 81. The Norfolk Daily News reported that FAA officials said the plane struck a power line before crashing into some trees, but the cause of the crash wasn't immediately clear.
