Archaeologist, Paleontologist in Royal Saturday

ROYAL - An archeologist and paleontologist will spend Saturday at Ashfall Fossil Beds State Historical Park in Royal to help you identify all of your fossils and artifacts.  The park’s superintendent, Rick Otto, says the State Historical Society’s highway archaeology program manager Rob Bozell will take a look at your fossils, while University of Nebraska-Lincoln paleontologist Mike Vorhies will be on hand to tell you about your artifacts - manmade objects such as arrowheads or pottery.  Ashfall Fossil Beds State Historical Park Fossil and Artifact Identification Day is Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.   Regular admission prices apply.
