Applicants Sought for Vacant School Board Seat
NORFOLK - Applications are now being accepted for an open position on the Norfolk Public Schools Board of Education. At Monday night’s meeting, the board accepted the resignation of Julee Pfeil, effective immediately. Superintendent Dr. Jami Jo Thompson said she planned to begin advertising for a short-term replacement Tuesday. Interviews will be held during the board’s regular meeting on March 10th, and the new board member will take office on March 27th. Thompson cautions that the person named to succeed Pfeil will be considered the incumbent in that position, and would need to file for election with the county clerk no later than February 18th in order to appear on the May primary ballot. For more information on the open position, check with the Superintendent’s Office in the Central Office Building.
