Ag public policy specialist to speak in Columbus
COLUMBUS - Farm policy will be discussed Thursday in Columbus with special guest University of Nebraska Lincoln Extension Public Policy Specialist Dr. Brad Lubben. The luncheon begins at 11:45 that morning in the Columbus Chamber of Commerce building on Highway 81. Platte County Extension Educator Alan Vyhnalek says the original idea was to have Lubben address the “new farm bill,” but since that does not exist, Lubben will address discussion on farm policy and where he thinks the next farm bill might go. Reservations are required, and can be made by calling the Columbus Chamber of Commerce at (402) 564-2769.
