Accident Send Four Area Teens to the Hospital

NORFOLK- A one-vehicle accident sends four area teenagers to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Stanton County Sherriff Mike Unger reports that the accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon when the eastbound car left Highway 275 about 5 miles east of Norfolk. The vehicle traveled about 100 yards off the roadway before striking an embankment. The driver of the vehicle, 18-year-old Justin Massey, refused treatment at the scene. The 4 passengers, 16-year-old Timothy Anderson, 16-year-old Zachary Coover, 15-year-old Edger Salas and 14-year-old Taylor Bruns were all taken to Faith Regional Health Services by Norfolk Fire and Rescue. The vehicle is consider to be a complete loss. All occupants of the car were wearing their seatbelts, which is credited with lessening the severity of their injuries.
