A Suspect Shot and a State Trooper Injured in Brunswick
BRUNSWICK (AP) - Authorities say a male suspect was shot and a state trooper was hurt while helping apprehend the suspect in northeast Nebraska. State Patrol spokeswoman Deb Collins said the incident happened near Brunswick shortly after 11 a.m. Tuesday. Collins says the trooper was responding to a request for help from the Pierce County Sheriff's office at the time. The incident was under investigation Tuesday afternoon, so Collins didn't know all the details.The trooper was hurt when the suspect rammed into his police cruiser with a tractor, but his injuries are not suspected to be life threatening. Then the suspect was shot. Collins says she doesn't know how badly the suspect was hurt, but he was flown to a South Sioux City hospital for treatment.
