63rd Annual Chamber Beef Expo Is Sunday
NORFOLK - More than 100 beef animals will be shown Sunday at the 63rd annual Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce Beef Expo. Agri Business Council Chairman Garold Kollmar encourages the public to attend the show and support young people and the beef industry. Animals will be checked in Saturday afternoon, with the show starting at 9 a.m. Sunday in the Ag Complex at Northeast Community College. The show will start with the market heifer competition, followed by the market steers. After lunch, exhibitors will complete for showmanship honors in three age divisions, followed by a three-team fitting contest. Kollmar says the premium auction will begin at about 5 p.m., and individuals or business representatives are invited to bid to provide premiums to the young people for their animals.
