3 state troopers promoted

NORFOLK - The Nebraska State Patrol Troop B - Norfolk held a badge pinning ceremony for three newly promoted members of the Nebraska State Patrol.  State Patrol Superintendent, Colonel David Sankey presented badges to Lt.  Jim Stover, Sgt. Dean Riedel and Sgt. Ben Brakenhoff during a Friday ceremony at the Troop B Headquarters in Norfolk.  A 24-year veteran of the Nebraska State Patrol, Stover has served as a Sergeant at the Nebraska State Patrol Training Academy in Grand Island and has held positions with the Carrier Enforcement and Traffic Services Division.  Riedel, a 14-year agency veteran has served as a trooper and investigator in the Traffic Services, Carrier Enforcement and Investigative Services Division, and as a Police Service Dog handler.  Riedel will be assigned as a Sergeant in South Sioux City.  Brakenhoff is an 11-year agency veteran having served in the Carrier Enforcement and Field Services Division.  Brakenhoff will be assigned as a Sergeant in Wayne.
