3 Have Filed for Madison County Offices
MADISON - Three individuals in Madison County have announced their plans to hold office by filing for election. Louis Pofahl of Norfolk has filed as a Republican for the District 1 County Commissioner’s seat. Incumbent Jerry McCallum has indicated he does not plan to seek re-election. Matthew Headley of Norfolk has filed as a Republican for Public Defender. Kyle Melia is the incumbent Public Defender. He was appointed to that position earlier this year when Melissa Wentling resigned to return to private practice. And Leo Botsford has filed for mayor of Tilden. The incumbent Tilden Mayor is Steve Rutjens. Incumbents have until February 18th to file with the County Clerk. Challengers must file by March 3rd.
