3 DUI Arrests in Less Than 4 Hours Sunday Morning

NORFOLK - Norfolk Police arrested three individuals for driving under the influence in less than four hours Sunday morning. police Captain Michael Bauer says 23-year-old Brock Lower of Columbus was arrested for first offense DUI at about 1:25 Sunday morning during a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Blaine. Officers observed Lower make an improper turn and weave from one lane to the other. At 2:26 Sunday morning, officers arrested 30-year-old Joshua Dittmer of Monroe in the 100 block of Elm Avenue. His vehicle had crossed the centerline several times. Dittmer was arrested for first offense DUI with a blood alcohol level above .15. And Bauer says at 5 a.m., officers arrested 34-year-old Raymond Sierra of Norfolk for first offense DUI, refusal to submit to a preliminary breath test and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Sierra was arrested after he turned southbound from East Grove Avenue onto Logan Street at a high rate of speed, making a wide, looping turn.  Bauer reports that Sierra suddenly stopped his vehicle, threw his car keys into a roadside bush and attempted to walk away from the vehicle. Lower was released after posting a cash bond. Dittmer and Sierra were taken to the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
