2 Arrests In Norfolk Convenience Store Robbery
NORFOLK - Two Norfolk 19-year olds face charges in connection with the armed robbery of the Kum and Go convenience store at 101 East Omaha Avenue October 4th. Norfolk Police Captain Leon Chapman says Jamelle Cordes and Trista Johnson-Jones were arrested over the noon hour Thursday by Norfolk Police officers who stopped their vehicle on North 1st Street. He says the two are also being questioned by Omaha area law enforcement agencies about their involvement with another robbery in Sarpy County. A BB/pellet type handgun allegedly used in both robberies was recovered from their residence. Cordes and Johnson-Jones are currently in the Madison County Jail.
