Stories, songs and fun activities in English and Spanish are featured at "Storytime" at the Norfolk Public Library each Thursday at 1:30 pm, Fridays at 10:30 am and Saturdays at 10:45 am. Storytime is designed for children age 3 through grade 2. Parents are asked to remain in the Library during Storytime and are welcome to attend with the children. Times may vary, call for details.

9:00 am - The 27th Annual Northeast Nebraska Farm and Equipment Show will be held Wednesday and Thursday January 15th and 16th beginning at 9 am both days at the NECC Ag Complex in Norfolk. Over 100 Ag Vendors will be set up and showing the latest innovations in farm practices, plus informational seminars both days. Free and open to the public.

9:00 am - The Fantasticks comes to Johnny Carson Theater on Thursday, January 30th, at 7:30p.m. Tickets $20 in advance, $25 at the door. With memorable songs, like "Try to Remember" and "Soon It's Gonna Rain". The Nebraska Theatre Caravan production promises an unparalleled experience. Reserved seating tickets are currently on sale at www.norfolkartscenter.org or by calling 402-371-7199 or stopping into the Arts Center at 305 N. 5th Street.

5:00 - 8:00pm - soup supper will be held Thursday at Battle Creek High School from 5:00 to 8:00. Chili, chicken noodle, and potato soup will be served, along with a roll and drink. Proceeds will benefit the BCHS VSP Group.

6:00 - 8:00pm - The Norfolk Art Center will have an Opening Reception for their current exhibit on Thursday January 16th from 6 to 8 pm. The Main Gallery features photographic work by Don Doll, and the Atrium exhibit of Blown Glass Sculptures is by Omaha artist Corey Broman. The event is free and open to the public. The exhibit will remain on display thru March 1st.

6:30 - 7:30pm - Youth ages 8 to 14 are invited to Readers Theater in the Norfolk Public Library on Thursdays from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Readers Theater is for those interested in theater and performing.

6:30 pm - The Northeast Nebraska Art Association regularly meets the third Thursday each month at 6:30 pm the Norfolk Art Center in Norfolk. The programs vary and occasionally the group meets elsewhere. For details contact Diana Tweedy @ 402-371-6359. New members always welcome.

6:45 - 9:00pm - The NORFOLK NIGHT MOPS/MOMS NEXT MEETING (For all mothers of children birth through 18) will be held Thursday, January 16, from 6:45 p.m. - 9 p.m. at: Christ The Servant Church 1100 East Benjamin Avenue, Norfolk.
Meetings offer fellowship with other mothers, informative speakers, craft time, and refreshments. Children are also invited to attend meetings with on-site childcare provided!! Come join us!!!
