8:00 am - The Bazille Creek Ringnecks 4th Annual Outdoor Families Exploring Nature Together will be held Saturday September 7th with registration beginning at 8 am at the Creighton Rod & Gun , located 6 west and 2 south, and 1/4 west of Creighton. Lots of activities, including trap shoot, archery, hiking, bird recognition, food and door prizes, free of charge. All children must be attended by an adult.

8:00 am - The Norfolk Archery Club will host a 3-D archery tournament on Saturday and Sunday, Sep. 7 and 8. The tournament is open to the public. Registration for both days is 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will be held at the club's outdoor range located south of Norfolk on U.S. Highway 81. Turn west on North Airport Rd, go ¼ mile, then turn south at the Norfolk Archery Club sign and follow the trail.

The auction will feature many large ticket, usable items and services. The first $2500 will be matched by Modern Woodman of America Nebraska Chapter. Cowboy poetry by Rick Buoy at the benefit, and dance to follow at the Corral Bar. Kyle is aboard the missing ship the Nina, with 6 other crew members. Proceeds will be sent to further the search funded by private donations. Kyle Jackson is the son of Duane and Amy Jackson from Bassett, NE.
