Farmers and Ranchers are invited to attend FREE clinics to meet with experienced AG law attorney and Ag financial advisors in a confidential one one one setting, designed to answer questions on estate planning, transition planning, farm loan programs, water rights and other relevant topics. Clinics are held in Norfolk, Grand Island, North Platte, Lexington, Valentine and Beatrice. Call the Rural Response Hotline at 1-800-464-0258 to set up an appointment.

8:00 - 11:30am - The Norfolk Knights of Columbus will host a free breakfast on Sunday from 8 am til 11:30 am at the hall at 105 Elm Avenue. Contributions will be accepted for their Seminarians. The Catholic Daughters will also have their annual Christmas Cookie and Candy Sale.

9:00 am - The 11th Annual FFA Toy Show & Sales will be held at Schuyler High School, East Gym, 401 Adam St., Schuyler on Sunday, December 2nd from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Adults $3.00; kids 10 & under Free
There will be old & new toys, new collector farm tractors & equipment & semi trucks for sale. Drawings for prizes & raffle for grand prize at end. Concessions on site.

11:00am - 1:00pm - Nachos for Maria benefit planned: a Thrivent benefit to defray travel expenses as Pastor Jerome Leckband and his family visit China to bring home their new daughter, Maria Kay. Serving a nacho bar from 11am till 1pm on Sunday, December 2nd, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Foster. A free will donation will be accepted. A silent auction of donated items including a processed hog, gift baskets, seed corn, quilts, holiday goodies, Husker basketball tickets, and many other items.

1:30 pm - Verdigre Community Chorus will present their Chrismas concert, "Christmas Revisted" in two preformances on Sunday Dec.2nd. The first will be at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Verdigre at 1:30 PM. A repeat performance will be given at 7 PM at St. Ludger Catholic Church in Creighton. A free will offering will be taken. 7:00 pm - The Johansen Sisters will perform : Sunday, Dec. 2nd at 7 p.m. at the Plainview High School Auditorium. Gospel and country music, as well as patriotic songs and songs from the '50s. A Christmas music segment will also be included. Tickets are available at the door with members of the Plainview Arts Council admitted free of charge.
