2012-01-28T Storytime at Norfolk Public Library
Stories, songs and fun activities in English and Spanish are featured at "Storytime" at the Norfolk Public Library each Thursday at 1:30 pm, Fridays at 10:30 am and Saturdays at 10:45 am. Storytime is designed for children age 3 through grade 2. Parents are asked to remain in the Library during Storytime and are welcome to attend with the children. Times may vary, call for details.

9:00 am - The Northeast Nebraska Farm & Equipment Show will be held at the NECC Ag Complex in Norfolk on Wednesday Jan 11th and Thursday Jan 12th. This premiere Ag event is open to the public, with free admission.

12:00 pm - The Norfolk Noon Optimists meet each Thursday at Prengers Restaurant.

1:00 - 4:00pm - The Norfolk Arts Center will present a special engagement with Margaret Berry titled: Hot Wax/Cool Art: Encaustic Painting Workshop on Thursday January 12th from 1-4 pm. Please call for details or to register. The public is also invited to the new exhibit on display during normal Art Center hours.

6:00 pm - The Norfolk Art Center invite you to the opening of their first all-Encaustic exhibit! Opening reception is Thursday, January 12 from 6-8 pm. Free and open to the public.

6:30 - 7:30pm - Youth ages 8 to 14 are invited to Readers Theater in the Norfolk Public Library on Thursdays from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Readers Theater is for those interested in theater and performing.

7:00 pm - The Norfolk Senior Citizens Center holds Bingo every Thursday evening at 7:00 pm. Bingo is open to the public and everyone age 18 and older is welcome to play.

8:00 pm - The Norfolk Oddfellow Lodge meet each Thursday night at 8 pm in the Temple, located at 4th and Norfolk Avenue. Stag Night is the first Thursday each month at 6:30 pm, and Family Night is the third Thursday each month at 6:30 pm. For more information call 379-1010.
