9:00 am - Community Garden Applications Available Soon...The Norfolk Downtown Community Garden at 4th and Phillip Avenue is announcing that applications for garden plots will begin on January 15, 2012. Forms are available at the First United Methodist Church office at 406 West Phillip Ave. or they can be sent (via email only) upon request, 402-371-2785. Spaces are limited to first come, first serve.

9:00 am - The Wayne State College baseball program will be conducting A Total Skills Camp on Sunday, January 15th and a Hitting/Pitching Intensity Camp scheduled for Sunday, January 22nd. Both camps will run from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. in the Wayne State College Recreation Center with registration starting at 8:30 a.m. and are open to baseball players ages 8 to 18. Players are asked to bring their glove, bat and gym shoes. The fee for one camp is $50 or $90 for both. For more information contact Brian Disch at (402) 375-7012
